INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups Just About Foods Organic all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon Just About Foods Xanthan Gum*
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 6 tablespoons cold butter
- 1 egg

PREPARATION METHOD:
- Preheat oven to 450°F
- Cut the butter into cubes and keep it in the freezer until needed, approximately 5-10 minutes.
- In a large bowl whisk the dry ingredients and add the freezed butter. With a dough cutter or two butter knifes, incorporate the butter to the dry ingredients until the mixture looks like wet sand. Pour in the buttermilk, with a wooden spoon mix until a sticky dough is form.
- Using an icecream scoop, scoop the dough into a lined baking sheet and brush the top of the biscuits with milk.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Take out the biscuits from the oven and serve them warm.
